Homotoxicology is a combination of homeopathy
with medical science.
Homotoxicology was formulated by Dr. Hans
Heurich Reckeweg (1905-1985). The concept of
homotoxicology was inspired by classical
homeopathy, but Reckeweg attributed disease
to the accumulation in the body of internal and
external toxins. These are termed "homotoxins".
Symptoms arose as a consequence of the body's
innate defense mechanisms responding to these
toxins.
A modern day example of the concept "like cures
like" would be the use of vaccines and allergy
injections to stimulate the body's immune system.
